Sashimi Rice Bowl (海鮮丼)

Nothing is easier than this.  Semi-homemade sashimi rice bowl.  If you have a Japanese or Korean supermarket which sell fresh sashimi grade fish, you are in luck.  All you need to do is just make some sushi rice and put all your favorite sashimi on top.....then a nice yummy lunch/dinner is served!

Ingredients:

Your favorite sashimi grade raw fish.  Here I used tuna, yellowtail, salmon roe and rockfish

1 cup     Japanese short grain rice
1/3 cup  Sushi Vinegar

Method:

  1. Cook the rice according to the instruction from the rice package.  Each brand maybe different but usually water to rice ratio is 1:1
  2. Take the rice out from the pot or rice cooker and put it in a large bowl
  3. Add the sushi vinegar to the rice and fluff it with a spatular
  4. Let the rice cool completely or at least lukewarm
  5. Put the sushi rice at the bottom of the bowl then arrange all the sashimi on top
Serve immediately!

Enjoy!
