California Rolls

Kids love it!  Simple delicious California Rolls that you can easily make at home.



  1. Ingredients:

1 cup    Medium Grain Rice
2 Tbsp  Seasoned Rice Vinegar
1/2        Avocado
1           Imitation Crab Meat
1           Nori (seaweed)
1 Tbsp  Sesame Seeds

Method:

  1. Cook rice according to the package instruction.  Usually rice to water ratio is 1:1
  2. When rice is done, transfer to a large bowl and cut in seasoned rice vinegar using a spatula or wooden spoon
  3. Let rice cool completely 
  4. Put the sushi rolling mat in a ziplock bag.  This way your sushi won't stick to the bamboo mat. 
  5. Cut nori in half, spread sushi rice on top and sprinkle with sesame seeds
  6. Turn it over onto the rolling mat so now the nori side is facing you
  7. Slice the avocado in to thin slices and put 2-3 slices on the nori
  8. Then put the imitation crab meat on top
  9. Start rolling the nori with crab meat away from you into a tight log
  10. Remove the rolling mat and cut the California rolls into pieces
