Instant Pot Pork Bone Broth

I love my instant pot as it is very easy to make homemade broth. All you need is literally dump all ingredients into the instant pot and you will have delicious broth couple hours later.

Ingredients:
3-4 lbs Pork bones
1 whole Garlic
2    Green Onion
2 pieces Ginger
1 bundle Cilantro (option)
Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Clean pork bones and put into a pot filled with water, then bring it to a boil
  2. After it’s boiled for about 5 minutes, drain it and clean the bones
  3. Put the bones into the instant pot together with garlic, ginger, onion and cilantro then fill in water to the max level.
  4. Close the lid, make sure it is at sealing position, then turn it is soup function.  Adjust the timer to 3 hours then press start
  5. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TO QUICK RELASE unless you want to do a major cleanup of your kitchen
  6. Wait 30 minutes  then do the pressure release
  7. Take all the bones out and then strain it through a mesh strainer
  8. Add salt and pepper to your taste.
  9. I usually put the broth into containers and put them into the fridge overnight. Then next day I can skim off the fat that floated to the top
I mainly use this broth for noodle soup. You can even use this as Shaba Shaba soup, wonton noodle soup, or even add some miso and make miso ramen.

Enjoy!
