Simple, easy and yummy rosemary bread.
Ingredients:
1 cup Flour

1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Yeast
1 tsp Rosemary Leaves
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Method:
Ingredients:
1 cup Flour
1 cup Warm Water (approximately, you may need less water depends on the weather)
1 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Coarse Sea Salt
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Yeast
1 tsp Rosemary Leaves
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Method:
- In a small bowl, melt sugar in 1/2 cup of warm water, then add yeast
- Make sure your yeast is active. The yeast mixture will become bubbly in about 5 minutes if your yeast is active
- In a mixing bowl, mix together flour, salt and the yeast mixture
- Add enough water and knead it into a dough ball. Don't worry too much if the dough is not smooth at this point
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes, then knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Drizzle with olive oil and cover with a wet towel/plastic wrap. Let it rise for about an hour or until almost doubled in size. I always proof the dough in an off oven with a bowl of hot water inside (You can just leave it on the counter top if you live in a warm place)
Dough doubled in size - Once doubled in size, preheat the oven to 350F
- Line the baking pan with parchment paper
- Flatten the dough into any shape you like
- Press the dough with your fingers to make some dents to hold the olive oil
- Top with coarse salt and rosemary leaves, the drizzle more olive oil on top
- Bake for 10 minutes or until it is brown.
- You can brush more olive oil on top once it is done
Enjoy!
